About Lucy
Unleashing creative boundaries
Lucy trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. The UK premiere production of The Burial at Thebes by Seamus Heaney for Nottingham Playhouse in 2005 earnt her a TMA Best Director nomination.

Lucy directed Endgame for the Liverpool Everyman starring Matthew Kelly. She revived The Burial at Thebes for two US festivals – Arts and Ideas in New Haven and the Spoleto Festival in Charleston. Her production of Macbeth played at the Lyceum Edinburgh and Nottingham Playhouse. Lucy runs Three Legged Company, and her productions include Dossier: Ronald Akkerman (Gate), A Special Relationship (co- production with York Theatre Royal/UK tour) and The Kingdom (Upstairs Soho Theatre).

Directing credits include Eastward Ho! (part of RSC Swan Season – Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement 2003) reviving The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (RSC Sadler’s Wells); and Waiting for Godot with Kathryn Hunter (National Theatre Studio).

Freelance directing includes A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Blue Room (York Theatre Royal); Indian Ink, Woman of No Importance, Way Upstream and Joking Apart (Salisbury Playhouse); and for the Nottingham Playhouse, She Stoops to Conquer and Macbeth. Most recently she directed As You Like It for Creation Theatre Company, Richard III for The Shakespeare Rose Theatre, and Inked, a play about tattoos for Havering Changing which toured venues in Essex including Queen's Theatre Hornchurch.
